WEEK 4

WEEK 4 : Registered Blog For Final Year Project 

Objective : 

             1) To register my blog for FYP1 in website provided .
             2) To let my supervisor easy to follow my project developer.

Methodology :

             1) Meet advisor, Sir Ahmad Zaki to register my blog.
             2) Inform my blog address to Sir Zaki.
             3) Ask him about the suitability of the blog address.

Result :

Analysis & Discussion :

During our meeting session, Sir Zaki was disagreed with using the full name as my blog address. He told me to change the address name because it will make easier to me one day when I am going to create a new blog.

Conclusion :

I have agreed to change my blog address from rushdeenasyibra.blogspot.my to fyprushdeenasyibra76.blogspot.my. It seems that this blog is specific to my final year project. Finally, my objective to register my blog was achieved.

WEEK 3

WEEK 3(a) : Registered Title For Final Year Project

Objective :

        1) To select the suitable title for my final year project from my listed.
        2) To get approval from my supervisor about my project.
        3) To register online for my FYP title through fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my/

Methodology :

        1) Select 2-3 titles which I think that I am able to do for final year project.
        2) Proposed all of the three titles in front of my supervisor.
        3) Give him a reason why I choose for each type of title.
        4) Register the chosen title via website fyp bmi.

Results : The title for FYP 1 was complete registered.

Analysis & Discussion :
After my supervisor looked at all my reason that I propose, he told me to do the project according to the degree level which is most of the project must used arduino.

Conclusion :
He decided for me to do Home Automation System using arduino for my final year project. I agreed with him and willing to proceed. Before we end of our discussion, he gives me some advice to make some research about my project by looking the internet or book to enhance my knowledge about my project.




WEEK 3(b) : First briefing of Final Year Project 

Objective :

1) To give briefing to all students final year project 1 (FYP 1) about this subject.
2) To explain the marking scheme and other important things for this subject.
3) To make sure all the FYP 1 students to choose their supervisor before the deadline to guide and give an advice to them.

Methodology :

1) Posters about FYP 1 are posted on every notice board in bmi and have a short message to tell about the date, venue and time.

Date : 9th February 2018

Venue : TTL 1

Time : 3pm - 5pm

Results :

Figure 4 : Poster about FYP 1 was posted on every notice board.

Analysis & Discussion :

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about :

• Introduction
• Objectives
• Credits and duration
• Scope of projects
• Title selection
• Project assessment
• Presentation day
• Submission date of project

Besides, we get to know the procedures involve in completing FYP 1 at http://fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my/ (UNIKL BMI website). We also should be register the supervisor and FYP title project before week 7 which is on 2nd March 2018. Last but not least, we need to complete the assessments that contribute marks for our FYP 1 which are progress report(logbook/blog), presentation and project proposal.

Conclusion :
FYP 1 students are started to understand  the tasks must be done for their marks in this subject after briefing session with Dr. Imran Mohammad Sofi.

WEEK 2

WEEK 2 : Search Title For Final Year Project

Objective :

        1) To identify the appropriate title that suitable for my final year project.

Methodology :

        1) Search for some project titles in the internet.

        2) Look at the idea and the equipments that have been used for the project.

        3) List the title that I have chosen and wrote in my notebook.

Result :

Analysis & Discussion : 

I went to meet my supervisor and have been told to say something about my proposed title. Showing some projects as shown in figure 1 to my supervisor, Sir Zaki. 

Conclusion :

After my supervisor looked at all my idea, he gives me some advice and guidance for each project that I list in my notebook.

WEEK 1

WEEK 1 : Finding The Supervisor For Final Year Project.

Objective :

1) To find a supervisor that can give a lots of advice and guidance during my final year project.
2) To find a supervisor that suitable and make me comfortable with his way.
3) To find a supervisor that has interpersonal skills and experiences.

Methodology :

1) Find lecturer from my course which is electrical at electrical section.
2) Do some observation about lecturers in electrical by asking senior students and experiences he/she taught.
3) Meet the lecturer that I want to and asking him/her for available quota for the students in his/her FYP group.


Results :

Analysis & Discussion: I went to see him and ask him for quota of his students for final year project.

Conclusion: I have been approved and allocate by my choice of supervisor which is Sir Zaki Bin Abdul Karim
